The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law March 27, 2020, which includes a significant number of tax and other provisions designed to support businesses and individuals impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Some of the Act’s provisions will provide opportunities to access much needed cash currently while others will not result in a realized benefit until taxpayers begin filing their 2019 and 2020 tax returns.
