Sim[PLY] is a building framing system that employs coordinated plywood componentry for ease of construction and optimal performance. Sim[PLY] was developed in the Clemson University School of Architecture and has been utilized for a range of structures across North America and in Italy. Guiding the many students involved in this work has been the faculty team of Dan Harding,
Dustin Albright, David Pastre, Vincent Blouin, Ulrike Heine and Ufuk Ersoy.
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) recently named the Carolinas' own Janet Bates of CF Evans Construction as Future Leader of the Year. This national award was established to recognize outstanding efforts of a new NAWIC member who has been actively involved throughout their first two NAWIC years. Bates is the President of the Palmetto Chapter of South Carolina and CF Evans Construction's Director of Business Development and Marketing.

The construction industry added 14,000 net new jobs in August, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has expanded by 177,000 jobs, or 2.4%. Read More
